The November 28 Zoning Board of Appeals meeting - which included only 1 agenda item -- a public hearing for an existing shed (over 15 years old... on the property when the current owners purchased the property) and a carport (existing) on Card Road... prompted a number of questions by the members of the zoning board (perhaps they wanted to make their trip to town hall worth while). There were no members of the public who participated in the public hearing. This is a property that bounded on two sides by large tracts of undeveloped property -- that was stated during the public hearing by the zoning administrator -- are very difficult to build on because of the slopes/wetlands (so no issues with neighbors). The Board approved 2 variances - one for the car port, and one for the shed --with the stipulation that if the shed was ever rebuilt - it would have to conform to the setback requirements in the town code.
The meeting - which started at 7:05 - ended at 7:22.
