The September 24 ZBA meeting was a puff of smoke.....2 applicants didn't arrive, 1 hadn't published the requested information -- so was tabled until the October 8 meeting. The Board tabled another application until after executive session..... off to executive session they went to come out of it to say "no actions were taken in executive session". The proper protocol would be to say that they went into an attorney/client meeting to discuss the recent judgment that went against to the ZBA in their decision to deny a variance to the owners of Alpine Commons. Perhaps they also discussed other topics... but the citizens and residents of the Town of Wappinger should understand ... and not have contacts in the court system to understand what is public record.
The board came out of executive session... still no applicant... so it the public hearing was adjourned until October 8th.
The Chairman explained it is his last meeting - thanked the board, the staff and the Town Board for their support during his term. A Round of Applause.... .puff..... meeting over...
