Clean-up at Carnwath Scheduled

Friends of Carnwath met on March 20.

Social Media communication plans are underway - twitter, instagram and a website.

An effort to begin to remove invasive species -- especially Grape Vines and Virginia Creeper in many of Carnwath's trees - is scheduled for April 22 - between 9 and noon. Volunteers (please wear long sleeves and bring gloves) can stop by anytime, for any length of time to help with this effort.

Bluebird Houses have been cleaned and are ready for this season.

A discussion on the number of wells and their working status was held, this is especially important because of the impact on gardening at Carnwath.

It was also mentioned that there is a hole in the roof of the Administration Building...which has a relatively new roof. The difficulty is that the roofing company that did the work is no longer in business -- but there is concern that this will lead to worsening conditions.

New board members and new members are being solicited, as well as fundraising ideas.

The next meeting will be held April 24th - location TBD.
